Reading a job listing
Each job listing contains key information to help you decide whether to apply:
- Job title — The position being offered.
- Company — The school or recruiter posting the job (click to view their company profile).
- Location — The city and country where the job is based.
- Salary — The offered salary range, including currency.
- Job type — Full-time, part-time, online, etc.
Salary information
Salary is displayed in the local currency unless otherwise noted. Some employers choose to hide salary details (shown as “Salary N/A”). When comparing salaries across countries, consider:
- The cost of living in that country (see our Country Guides).
- Whether housing is included (many ESL jobs provide free or subsidized housing).
- Whether airfare reimbursement is offered.
- Benefits such as health insurance, paid holidays, and contract completion bonuses.
A salary that seems low in USD terms may provide a high standard of living locally.
