In addition to teaching Sociology in the US, for the past four years, I have been learning Portuguese, teaching English, and helping foreigners visiting and adjusting to living in Bahia, Brazil. I have taught English both online and in person, to children and adults, and to Brazilians of various socioeconomic backgrounds. With my sociological curriculum and Reading Apprenticeship’s approach, I have utilized visual, auditory, reading and writing, and kinesthetic lessons to teach ESL learners of all ages.
