INX Academy is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hospitality Management Instructor to teach courses in our Certificate in Hospitality Management program at our San Diego campus.

We are looking for a professional who can combine hospitality industry experience with engaging, practical classroom instruction. The ideal candidate will help students understand both the business and operational sides of the hospitality industry through real-world examples, case studies, discussions, and hands-on projects.

Courses May Include

The instructor may teach subjects such as:

1. Introduction to Hotel Revenue Management
2. Hotel Revenue Management and Pricing Strategies
3. Forecasting and Availability Management
4. Restaurant Revenue Management
5. Services Marketing
6. Consumer Behavior in Hospitality
7. Guest Loyalty and Customer Relationship Management
8. Income Statements and Operational Data
9. Hospitality Operations and Management
10. Hospitality Sales and Marketing

Responsibilities

1. Deliver engaging, student-centered classroom instruction.
2. Prepare lessons, presentations, activities, quizzes, and assessments.
3. Lead practical hospitality management projects and case studies.
4. Connect classroom concepts to real-world hotel, restaurant, tourism, and hospitality operations.
5. Evaluate and document student academic progress.
6. Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
7. Provide students with constructive feedback and academic support.
8. Follow INX Academy curriculum, academic policies, and attendance requirements.
9. Work collaboratively with academic and administrative staff.
10. Maintain a professional and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Tourism, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
3. Professional experience in the hospitality industry.
4. Experience in hotels, resorts, restaurants, revenue management, hospitality operations, sales, marketing, or related areas strongly preferred.
5. Previous teaching, corporate training, or professional development experience is desirable.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills.
7. Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.
8. Comfortable using technology, presentations, spreadsheets, and other classroom tools.

Schedule

Classes are taught in person at INX Academy in San Diego.

Typical classes may include a combination of:

Morning Theory: 8:30 AM – 11:50 AM

Afternoon Project/Lab: approximately 12:15 PM – 2:30 PM
