Dr. Priya Krishnamurthy is an IPTV Scientist who bridges the gap between hardware innovation and software-defined streaming. Based in Bangalore, she leads an Mxltv research lab dedicated to developing specialized silicon accelerators for video processing, enabling ultra-fast encoding and decoding on power-constrained devices. Her work has been instrumental in bringing high-efficiency video coding to mobile SoCs, allowing smartphones to handle 4K streams without overheating or draining batteries. She also researches network-aware transcoding, where the encoding parameters are dynamically adjusted based on real-time network feedback from the client device. Her interdisciplinary approach combines computer architecture, signal processing, and networking, making her one of the few experts who can optimize streaming from the chip all the way to the CDN. She holds numerous patents in hardware-accelerated video processing and regularly contributes to the development of next-generation codec standards.
